CSI Plant

A small company with a big heart ...

CSI Saddlepads, like so many small businesses, began with a personal necessity. Kevin Helms, CSI co-founder, found himself unable to enjoy his personal passion of horseback riding after a workplace accident left him with severe neck and back pain. Not being one to let go of his love for horses and riding without a fight, Kevin — who is a natural inventor and creative artisan — set out to find a way he could ride without pain. He succeeded when he found a space-age material that not only absorbed shock transferred from saddle to horse but from saddle to rider. Kevin triumphed in his first pain free rider since his accident.

Knowing that others out there — both human and equine — suffered from pain during riding, Kevin along with his wife Donna started manufacturing and selling pads made from this revolutionary material. They were a hit from the start, but that doesn't mean Kevin slacked off on his invention. Quite the contrary — he sought ways to improve the pad for both horse and rider. The results are an array of pads that meet the needs of today's horseman whether he rides for pleasure or competition.

Helms Family

The Helms family doesn't just manufacture and sell CSI pads, they use them as often as they can get time to ride.
