CSI pads came to my attention through a friend who told me how great they were. He is showing in ranch horse competitions and told me of the positive results. I decided to purchase one of your western saddle pads about six months ago, and I too have been impressed with the results. In fact, my husband uses the pad on his horse; and, not long after beginning to use it, he commented that he no longer gets sore from riding. I attribute this directly to the pad, because nothing else has changed - the horse is the same, the saddle is the same, but the saddle pad changed. My husband and I have a small farm in North Carolina and just recently opened it to a few boarders, which means I have a website now. I started using the CSI pad at the beginning of the year in 2007; I had heard great things about them but could not find one. We saw one at one of the horse fairs and they told us where the booth was. As it turned out a friend of ours Ken Harrup was involved with selling them and we didn’t even know it. I put it on my 3 good horses and could just feel the difference in their movement. They were more relaxed and could still feel me as well. It is the only pad that I use now and I own 4 of them. I have three geldings that I run and I use ½ inch on one, ¾ on another, and the inch one the last one. Thanks Kevin & Donna Helms for sharing your wonderful pads.. Thanks to CSI we can ride our 21 year old gelding without the pad slipping or the saddle moving off to one side. Our gelding (Bear) has no withers, because of his age, in the past we had to always tighten the cinch as much as possible or always move the saddle to the middle of his back. My husband purchased the CSI Pad at the Novi Expo, that was the best money ever spent on a Equine product. On New Years day we went on a ride, so I tried the CSI pad on our gelding to see how it was going to work..since Bear is the true test, I was very happy my husband made the purchase it is well worth the money. The saddle didn't slip at all, it didn't even move and I didn't have to tighten the cinch up like before. We were so pleased with saddle pad we purchased another one at the Equine Affaire in Ohio. I saw someone with one of your pads and my husband went up to them to see were they purchased it, because we wanted another one. So Thanks for sharing such a wonderful product. I talked to you at the Equine Affaire and mentioned that I loved the pad that I bought from you at the Novi Michigan show. It's great. It's an edurance shape, although not finished around the edges. It's a 3/4" and feels so nice under my saddle. I know if it feels that good to me, it must be feeling good to my horse as well. I'd like to buy another one to go under my dressage saddle. The really nice thing about it is that if your saddle doesn't fit your horse perfectly, the pad helps to cushion the saddle just right so that it does. I have three horses of completely different shapes, and this pad has allowed me to use several of my saddles on all three. I know nothing can enhance a bad fitting saddle, but this pad sure helps if the saddle is slightly less than a perfect fit. I ride competitive trail, western pleasure and dressage. I feel like this pad is as versatile as I expect my horses to be. Thanks for a good product. — Joanne Coy
I used one of the CSI Pads on my old reiner. Before the pad he really refused to back and turn on the haunch. Basically, he really didn't like to be ridden. I had tried everything from Chiropractic to just hanging in the pasture. After the first 30 minutes with your pad he started to lope off like the old days, stop and turn. I am thrilled. I found this wonder pad at the Western Stock Show. I have many different types of horses that I need to fit while I am riding and training. The first thing I noticed with this pad is that my back didn't hurt after being in the saddle all day. That speaks volumes. My horses love them too. We have some with withers and some without. Even my ponies saddles fit and stay put. Our barrel racers are digging into the dirt better and everyone is sound. This pad is a fantastic pad and a valuable asset to the industry. We started letting landscapers and gardeners use them to kneel on all day and they love them. I would love to see insoles made for my boots while I stand in the dirt all day teaching. We ordered trophy pads for our Trophy Saddle Gymkhana and they were a huge hit. Even the old stuck in the mud cowboys who have grown up with Navajo Blankets admitted they worked pretty good. I have seen retired barrel racers' horses that are now packing their kids stop bucking on the way home because of your pads. Keep up the good work! Thank you we love your pads! — Wendy Parker
I bought a beautiful Mustang, Tiger. He is great! I borrowed a pad from my 4-H leader, Wendy Parker. What a difference. He loves it. I use to not be able to really brush him on his back, but now he loves it. I am looking for a new saddle so this pad really helps me have a better fit until I find my new saddle. I had to write to tell you that we used the pad last night for the first time. This horse has been giving us a lot of trouble lately, not wanting to work, rearing, just being a total butthead. I was thinking that her back was hurting because we've tried several pads on her, still getting the white spots on her withers, etc. The FIRST time with the CSI pad and she worked like a dream!!!!! I'll be buying 3 more for the other horses!!!! This pad is awesome and well worth the money!!!! — Toni James
You may or may not know that I have been ill for a while and was not able to try my new CSI Pad out as soon as I had hoped. But I am very pleased to let you know that I have used my CSI Pad and I have be able to ride again WITH OUT pain! ;-) I can not explain the joy that it gives me to be able to sit back in the saddle again. just wanted to take a moment and let you know how great I think your saddle pad is. I took my horse on the trail on Saturday afternoon and Sunday this past weekend. I can only say how great I think it functioned. The sweat pattern was complete and my old horse had no sore spots. He is a grade gelding with high withers, a hollowed back (he is probably at least part Saddlebred) and is about 22 years old. I have had trouble fitting him with saddle and pad in the past. I finally ordered an Australian Stock Saddle because they are made narrow enough to fit him. Your saddle pad completes the package. Donna shared with me that you are in the process of designing a saddle pad to go with the stock saddle. I purchased a barrel pad and it fits well, leaving plenty of leg contact. Whenever I get a chance to have a photo of Max and I using your saddle pad, I will be happy to send it to you to use. I would endorse your product any time. Thank you. — Elaine Anderson
I purchased one of your csi pads at the Illinois (March 2005) Horse Fair, from Ryan Gingerich's booth. I am a natural skeptic; I must have went back about four times. What a pad! The entire family enjoys your csi pad. Our senior horse (23) needs your csi pad's extreme cushion, he was a happy horse; what a change. Our Arab (19) is slight in conformation and can be VERY skidish, your csi pad changed her performance, immediately and amazingly. I guess I was kind of a stupid equistrian, not realizing, how wrong I had been, before csi came into my life. I feel terrible because horses backs are of utmost importance. Us too. Our two daughters ride and never finish cleaning their tack in the barn, I have to laugh, because, they know it's mine, they actually clean the csi pad up, and place it back in the nice plastic wrap it came in. The girls even air the csi pad out. I have noticed, no crushing, or wear so far. We need another couple of pads. I believe I have your western all performance csi pad.
