The AUSSIE SADDLE BAREBACK PAD is totally manufactured in America, using Australian Merino sheepskin, US wool felt, nylon webbing, and unique flex plates designed and produced exclusively by CSI.

The sheepskin is married to 1/2" of felt with an intricate pattern of webbing that also secures strainless steel Western-style girth D rings, and solid brass Ds for English leathers, breastplate, saddle bags and a crupper. A neoprene grith is secured with an off-billet, and a near-side tackaberry lacing.

The CSI flexplate is placed between a second layer of felt that goes against the horse. This plate -- for the first time ever in a bareback pad -- displaces the weight of the rider over a much greater area of the back, increasing horse comfort.

Standard wool colors are off-white and black. Other colors can be special ordered.

The AUSSIE SADDLE BAREBACK PAD costs $595, complete with girthing system, English leathers and aluminum stirrups. Without mountings, the unit is $495.
